Viva la Pepa comes from different meanings. "La Pepa" is the name popularly christened the first Liberal Constitution approved in Europe, this popular nickname is because it was enacted on the feast of St. Jose, March 19, 1812. in the Oratorio San Felipe Neri city of Cadiz. Under the cry of Viva "La Pepa"! Spanish liberals celebrated the text adopted the first Constitution of the Spanish Monarchy, which was established in the nation's sovereignty, displacing the King in the concentration of the powers of the state, so that its assets were limited absolutist, granting more rights to the people for their development and progress and freedom of expression.
